Because beats are digital products delivered instantly upon purchase, all sales are generally final. Please review this policy carefully and check the beat preview before purchasing. If something goes wrong on our end, we will make it right.
Our Commitment
DC Beats is committed to delivering high-quality, professional instrumentals. Every beat is previewed before purchase and described accurately on the store. If there is a genuine issue with your purchase — on our end — I will resolve it fairly and promptly.
Refund Eligibility
Refunds will only be issued in the following circumstances:
Defective or unusable file. The delivered audio file is corrupted, incomplete or technically unplayable.
Wrong beat delivered. You received a different beat from the one you purchased.
Accidental duplicate order. You were charged twice for the same beat in a single session due to a technical or payment error.
Non-delivery. You completed payment but did not receive the download link or licence PDF within a reasonable time despite contacting support.
Non-Refundable Situations
Refunds will not be issued for:
- Change of mind or subjective dissatisfaction with the beat's sound or style.
- Failure to preview the beat before purchasing.
- Failure to read the beat description, BPM, key or genre information.
- Failure to understand the licensing terms prior to purchase.
- Incompatibility with your DAW or equipment (all files are delivered in standard formats).
- Purchasing the wrong licence tier — please upgrade instead of requesting a refund.
- Change of project direction after purchase.

How to Request a Refund
Contact me within 30 days of your purchase date at contact@dcbeats.net with the subject line "Refund Request".
Please include the following in your message:
- Your full name and email address used at checkout.
- The name of the beat purchased and the order/transaction ID.
- A clear description of the issue.
- Any supporting evidence (screenshots, audio recordings demonstrating the defect).
I may request additional information to validate your claim. Providing false information to obtain a refund may result in permanent account suspension and legal action.
Refund Process & Timeline
All refund requests are reviewed manually. I aim to respond within 3 business days of receiving your request.
Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method (PayPal, Visa or Mastercard) within 3–5 business days of approval. Processing times may vary depending on your bank or payment provider.
Refunds are issued at DC Beats' sole discretion based on the validity of the request and compliance with this policy.
Non-Refundable Items
Custom beat commissions. Beats produced to your specifications are non-refundable once production has commenced. A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to begin custom work.
Exclusive rights purchases. Once the exclusive licence agreement is signed and the beat is removed from the store, the transaction is final and non-refundable under any circumstances.
Mixing & Mastering services. Service fees are non-refundable once work has begun. Revisions are included as specified in the project agreement.
EU Consumer Rights
Under the EU Consumer Rights Directive, consumers normally have a 14-day right of withdrawal for digital goods. However, by completing your purchase and receiving the download link, you explicitly consent to immediate delivery of the digital content and acknowledge that you waive your right of withdrawal once the download has been made available, as permitted under Article 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU.
This does not affect your statutory rights in cases of defective or misdescribed goods as outlined in Section 2 above.
If you are an EU consumer and believe your statutory rights have been violated, you may also contact your national consumer protection authority or use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
Licence Termination on Refund
If a refund is approved and processed, your licence to use the beat is immediately and permanently terminated. You must:
- Cease all use of the beat in new or existing projects.
- Remove any released recordings featuring the beat from all streaming platforms, social media and distribution channels.
- Delete all copies of the beat files from your devices and storage.
Continued use of a beat after a refund has been issued constitutes copyright infringement and may be pursued legally.
Disputes
If you are dissatisfied with the outcome of a refund request, please reply to the refund correspondence so I can re-evaluate your case. DC Beats is committed to fair resolution and will always try to find a reasonable solution.
If a dispute cannot be resolved directly, EU consumers may use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform or contact their national consumer authority. Any legal disputes are subject to Portuguese jurisdiction as outlined in the Terms of Use.
